Jesus of McCarren Park
I'm taking an online class called Power of Idea on tutormill.com, taught by two of my favorite illustrators Marcos Chin (http://www.marcoschin.com) and Yuko Shimizu (http://www.yukoart.com/) this month.
It's one of the best whim decisions I've made in a while. I'm really loving the class format and Marcos and Yuko have been amazingly helpful in encouraging me expand my portfolio out of my comfort zone.
So anyway, I finished the first assignment today, and here it is. I'm not going to get too into the concept because I'm hoping the illustration speaks for itself. The assignment went from the word Utopia and ended with this image called:

Today we have a vintage doodle I found in an old sketch book of mine from 2003.
I like her face.
fyi: I didn't draw the card above. It's from my cousin and I had stuck it in the book with photo corners.
