Tattoo Design

I'm planning to get this face tattooed o my right arm. It's going to be a sort of a makeup version of my paper doll tattoo.
I like to draw on myself...what can I say?

Dolls Heads!!

Andrew's and my first mold was a dud but we were able to salvage the face part of the doll head mold and make these. I just painted them quickly for fun...pretty girls!

I came up with this sort of anime/betty boop eye monocle today on the subway. I really like it. I think I'll use it more in my doodling/drawing.

In an effort to give my life a little more routine and structure I'm going to try to blog a doodle a day.
Here is today's silly little glamor-doodle.

My agent asked me for some more detailed fantasy illustrations yesterday. I didn't really have time to create something new so I decided to revisit and tweak an illustration I did a few years ago of Thumbelina.

This is the new version:

AND this is the old one:
I used to put a black line around EVERYTHING.
I honestly don't know why I thought this looked good.

Doll head!

In addition to my many other projects I'm beginning to create dolls/puppets with my good friend Andrew Yang. He's already quite an accomplished fabric doll maker ( but we are experimenting with casting and mold making together.
After many weeks of trying to perfect my head, I think I'm ALMOST there. I just need to do a few finishing touches and make the mold. Then the fun can begin! Stay tuned!!!

New doodles!

Okay so I haven't been posting very much these past few months because I was either traveling through Central America (Sept-Dec) or waiting to move into my new apartment (Jan-Feb).
WELL! I'm finally set up in my new home and I'm very enthusiastic about starting my doodle blog back up again. I'm going to start by posting some conceptual fantasy fashion sketches I did for the manga series I'm working on with my friend Jessica called "Princess Academy"
